The 23rd Asian Mountain Bike Championships & The 9th Asian Junior Mountain Bike Championships Xuancheng City Anhui Province – China 13 – 14 May 2017 1: Organization The 23rd Asian Mountain Bike Championships and the 9th Asian Junior Mountain Bike Championships is organized by: Chinese Cycling Association No 5, Laoshan West Street,Shijingshan District,100049, Beijing,China Tel: +86-10-68862589 Fax: +86-10-68862596 Email: [email protected] The Championships will be held from May 13 to 14, 2017 under the Regulations of Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and the Specific Regulations of the Championships mentioned hereunder. 2: Type of Event The event is entered on the UCI’s MTB Calendar open for the riders of the Elite Men, Elite Women, Junior Men and Junior Women Categories. The event is registered as a Continental Championships thus in conformity with the UCI’s Rules, points are awarded for the UCI’s ranking under the Elite Continental Championships. 3: Participation The event is for riders of the Federations affiliated to The Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC) and the championships comprises with the events and categories as below 3.1 UCI Licence: Article 1.1.006: The UCI ID is provided by the UCI to the national federation at the time of the first licence application and shall appear on any licence the person concerned may hold, regardless of the category or the national federation issuing the licence. Article 1.1.024: To be included on the licence card a) UCI ID b) National Federation Number 3.2 Downhill (DHI) - Men’s (Age 17 years old or older) - Women’s (Age 17 years old or older) Each Federation can send the maximum 4 riders each, for DHI Men’s and Women’s Category. Article 4.1.006 Except for the world championships, downhill events are open to all riders aged 17 or over. At the world championships and at the world cup, separate junior events are organized for men and women (aged 17 and 18). For all other downhill events on the international calendar, the UCI points are awarded in relation to the rider’s time and not to their category. To ensure that this rule is correctly applied, only one combined result needs to be sent to the UCI. 3.3 Cross Country Olympic (XCO) - Men’s Elite (Age 19 years old or older) - Women’s Elite (Age 19 years old or older) - Men’s Junior (Age 17-18 years old) - Women’s Junior (Age 17-18 Years old) Each Federation can send the maximum of: 5 riders each for: Men’s Elite and Women’s Elite. 4 riders each for: Men’s Junior and Women’s Junior. 3.4 Cross Country Team Relay (XCR) Each federation can send only one team which will be comprised of 4 riders and “MUST INCLUDE AT LEAST 1x WOMAN and 1x JUNIOR” Articles 9.2.032 and 9.2.033 Only during world championships and continental championships, UCI points are allocated. A minimum of 5 nations must compete in the XCR for UCI points to be awarded. The UCI points are allocated to the nation and not to the riders individually The delegation composition form should be submitted no later than March 30th 2017. All Entry form should be submitted no later than April 15th 2017. 4: Transportation The nearest airport to Xuancheng City is Nanjing Lukou International Airport(NKG), Jiangsu Province (approximate 140 km to Xuancheng City,about 90 minutes by bus). On arrival and departure day of the participants, the organizer will arrange transportation between airport and the official hotel(s) in Anhui Province. The organizer will be responsible for transportation upon arrival and departure only 1 time per team. Beside that mentioned, team(s) may be charged extra transportation expense. 5: Accommodation The organizer will arrange accommodation to all participants on the conditions as follow - 4-5 star hotel (twin beds) – US$ 70 per day per person. - Full board inclusive of 3 meals per day. - In case of the team official and/or rider require single room the expenses should be US$ 90 per day per person and the people concerned MUST notify to the organizer at least 10 days before the arrival. - Payment MUST be made in US Dollars cash only. 6: Championships Venue The Cross Country and the Downhill races venue are located at Jingtingshan Scenic Spot, approximately 5 minutes by car from the official hotel.
